A Mexican proposal – one year on

A year ago today was when I went from being a girlfriend to a fiancée. And in 6 months from today I’ll take the even bigger leap of going from fiancée to wife. This year has absolutely flown by. We’ve bought our first house together, started planning a wedding and put in place plans for a long happy future. I can’t quite believe that in 6 months I’ll be having my makeup done and getting ready to walk down the aisle to Lee, I know that day is going to be here in no time now. Today though I thought I’d share our proposal story, I just wish I could relive the moment my life changed in the best way possible.

Why am I here?

Just so you know I’m not about to get all deep and meaningful, I actually mean ‘why am I here?’ in the most literal sense.

March To The Aisle was 2 months old at the weekend (doesn’t time fly), and although it had been an idea in my head for a while, it took nearly 6 months for me to publish my first post to the big wide world.

Yesterday I decided it was time to #reclaimyourlunchbreak. Like so many other Londoners I spend countless hours sat in front of my computer and then end up eating my lunch al-desco.

I feel like we’re hitting another milestone in our countdown today. Exactly 9 months ago Lee surprised me by asking me to be his wife and in exactly 9 months time that dream is going to come true. We chose the date for our wedding on a day that worked well for us and enabled us to have the spring wedding we really wanted, what we realised afterwards is that we would be getting married 18 months to the day from when Lee proposed.

Perfectil Review – 3 weeks

A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to get my hair in tip top condition for my wedding. Aside from cutting down on heat styling this has also meant starting to take a vitamin supplement specifically designed for hair.

I’d previously been given a sample of Perfectil at a wedding fair, and as this is formulated for skin, hair and nails it seemed worth trying it out. I’ve been using them for 3 weeks now so I thought I’d give you a little review.

I’d never used it before I met Lee, in fact it’s something that’s only become part of my vocabulary in the past 6 months. That little f word that changes everything. Yep, fiancé. The new name for my beloved ever since he asked the big question and popped a sparkly ring on my finger.
